The “ Turb-O-Web ^tm System” is a method of manufacturing roof trusses, suitable for all types of roof truss production in all size plants. It provides a simple, cost efficient and reliable method of producing consistently high quality roof trusses no matter how complex the trusses being made. Turb-O-Webs are now in their 10^th year of successful use in the United States.

The System is composed of three elements, namely:-

•           The Turb-O-Web design features available in design software such as MiTek's 20/20 software

•           A suitable saw, such as MiTek's ® ElipSaw ™ for high speed cutting of Turb-O-Webs

•           A license to use the patented Turb-O-Web System. (small monthly fee applies)

    Benefits of the System are:-

•         Cut standard length, standard round-end webs "Just in Time", or pre-cut and hold stock.

•           MiTek 20/20 Design software is fully compatible with the round ended webs.

•          The general use of round cut webs do work within the framework of the Truss Plate Institute's (TPI's) Quality Assurance Program.

•          Flexibility of the round ended webs allow for the fabrication of trusses with consistent outer profile, irrespective of variations in the width of the chord members-          or the straightness of the web materials used. In other words we can do a better job of making trusses with today's lumber supply.

•           Modest capital cost and low maintenance cost for High Speed  ElipSaw®.

•           High speed ElipSaw greatly increases web cutting efficiency and drives down unit costs

•           High speed ElipSaw greatly increases total daily saw shed throughput.

•           Elipsaw frees up other saws, such as linear saws, further enhancing production.

•           Elipsaw efficiently cuts both standard and non-standard length Turb-O-Webs- 100%.

•           Pre-cutting standard length Turb-O-Webs simplifies job processing

•           Easier truss assembly allows greater daily outputs at lower unit cost

•           Standard length webs virtually eliminate end waste.

•           Easier quality control of web joints.

•           If required, Turb-O-Webs and angle cut webs may be used together.
